If you want to create animation for video games, you should earn a degree in video game design or interactive media.
An animator needs more than artistic talent to work in this occupation. In addition to the technical skills you will learn in an academic program, you must have certain soft skills to be successful. Because animators must function as part of a team, good communication skills, including strong listening and speaking skills, are extremely important. Tight deadlines call for excellent time management skills. Without the ability to think creatively, you will not be able to generate ideas and bring them to fruition. Strong computer skills are necessary because much your work will involve using sophisticated computer software and you may also have to write code.
Gautam Buddha's Remains May Just Have Been Found In A 1000-Year-Old Casket In China
In China, archaeologists have discovered an ancient casket that could hold the remains of Gautam Buddha. The remains were discovered by teams of experts excavating the Nanjing area in 2010. However, the discovery was only recently published in English by the Chinese Cultural Relics journal.
Experts believe that a skull bone of the Buddha may have been found inside a model of a stupa concealed within a 1,000-year-old stone casket in the crypt of a Buddhist temple, reports LiveScience.
The box is made of sandalwood, gold, and silver. Inscriptions on the box suggest that two monks named Yunjiang and Zhiming, from the Manjusri Temple in the Longxing Monastery, had collected more than 2,000 pieces of the Buddha's cremated remains over a span of 20 years and buried them in the temple in 1013.
The findings published in the journal say that the stupa model was found in the crypt of the Grand Bao’en Temple. It measured nearly 4 feet by 1.5 feet.Other statues measuring over 6 feet tall were also discovered in the excavation but experts are unsure if these were buried at the same time as the Buddha's remains, reports Archaeology.
This Headless Robot Moves Like A Real Dog, And Is Everything That Fuels Your Worst Nightmares
Boston Dynamics, a robot maker that’s been in the spotlight for the past few years, has just published a video to YouTube, capturing its latest and most advanced robot in action.
The mechanical creature was first unveiled by the company in June 2016. Boston Dynamics was owned by Alphabet at the time, before eventually being sold to Japan-based telecom/tech giant Soft Bank.
The Spot-Mini originally started out as a household robot looking more like deer than its current dog form. At the time, not only was it terrible at performing said chores, it was also prone to slipping on banana peels.
The new version has none of those issues. First off, it has a makeover to give it a much more polished look. The tall neck is gone, making it now resemble a weird metal dog hybrid. It even moves like a real dog too, as it trots around on four “paws”, albeit in a very showboating manner.
However, it’s that range and fluidity of movement that perfectly demonstrate just how much progress Boston Dynamics has made in the field, building animal-inspired robots that can be used in real-life situations.
The video says the SpotMini is “coming soon,” but it’s not yet clear whether that means the bot is just going to get an official reveal as a technological marvel, or is actually going up for sale as a commercial product. Either way, consider us both excited and incredibly creeped out.
And to be honest, we’re not sure whether to be impressed or horrified at how realistic it
Feel The Spark Missing In The Relationship? Retail Therapy Might Be The Answer, Says New Study
Ever felt jealous about the attention your partner was giving to someone else? Trying retail therapy! Buying eye-catching T-shirts or dresses may help you gain love back in your life. A new study has suggested that feelings of jealously may motivate people to buy things that were more likely to recapture the attention of their partner.
The findings showed that feelings of jealousy increases the desire for buying eye-catching products -- such as a bright colored coat instead of a dull-colored one, or a T-shirt with a big logo design versus a low-key design. “We believe that this effect is not just restricted to jealousy in romantic relationships. Children can be jealous of a sibling’s relationship with their parents or workers might be jealous of a colleague’s close relationship with a supervisor,” said Xun (Irene) Huang, professor at Nan-yang Technological University in Singapore.

Here are 5 different ways you can start earning yourself some Bitcoins.
1.Investing
Investing is the easiest way of accessing Bitcoins. This works in the same way as exchanges for other currencies — you go to an exchange (for “traditional” currencies you would go to a location that might do currency exchanges such as your bank; for Bitcoins you would visit a website such as Mt. Gox) and buy Bitcoins using the currency you possess.
I call this “investing” instead of exchanging because although the value of a Bitcoin fluctuates rather wildly, it is still showing an upward trend. This is partly due to the fact that more people are looking at Bitcoins as a legitimate currency, and partially because Bitcoins were designed for deflation as there are only a certain amount of Bitcoins that will ever exist. If you exchange Bitcoins now, they might be worth ten times as much in a week, month, or year from now. Then, you can exchange those Bitcoins for your traditional currency.
2.Sell Your Stuff!
A great way of earning Bitcoins is by selling some stuff you don’t need anymore on Bitcoin-friendly online markets. You could try listing an ad on Craigslist and set a condition that the buyer pay in Bitcoins. Then you can also sign up on a marketplace such as Coingig.com and sell your items there. The site works very much like eBay and gets you some Bitcoins for each successful sale.
3.Mining With Your GPU
Another way of earning Bitcoins is to mine them like the early pioneers of Bitcoin. Mining Bitcoins requires that you use a computer with a Bitcoin mining program on it. The program will then run complex calculations on your system, and reward you with a Bitcoin for each return value that meets the criteria for being considered a Bitcoin.
Since mining has occurred for quite a while now, the chances of winning big money this way is very slim — mining alone will take forever but could reward you with an entire Bitcoin, or you could mine as part of a mining pool, which shares found Bitcoins among the pool members based on how much work they’ve put into the pool.
Mining with PCs is best done with AMD graphics cards, as they are the ideal for performing the math done in Bitcoin mining. nVidia graphics cards suffer in comparison, and relying on just your CPU is unsuitable. If you put yourself on the miner’s line, choosing the best GPU for Bitcoin mining becomes a critical factor for the sheer number crunching that’s involved.
4.Mining With ASIC Cards
If you’re more serious about mining Bitcoins, there are ASIC cards that make Bitcoin mining far more efficient (in terms of electricity use), as they use less power and perform more calculations than the usual PCs. These machines aren’t very cheap though, but can be bought from various sources, including ButterflyLabs.
5.Mining On A Raspberry Pi
Lastly, if you’re more of a Bitcoin mining hobbyist rather than a first-timer or a professional, then you could buy yourself a cheap Raspberry Pi and use it for Bitcoin mining. You won’t get nearly the same performance as the specific machines mentioned above, but it’s still a fun thing to try out. And who knows — that ~$35 investment could turn into a $1,200+ Bitcoin.
Conclusion
As you can see, there are many different ways in which you can get involved in the trending virtual currency. Bitcoin is here, and it doesn’t matter if you want to make money from it or if you want to use it as an actual means of payment. After reading up on the few disadvantages to Bitcoins, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t give Bitcoin a serious consideration.
